Melissa Fumero

Melissa Gallo was born in Lyndhurst in New Jersey on August 19 1981. "3"[4] The Cuban parents moved into the U.S. as teenagers. Her mom, who was a homemaker and hairdresser was her the role model. The father of the family worked in a jewelery store and was a math teacher. Gallo is a native of Guttenberg. She was brought up in Guttenberg prior to shifting to Lyndhurst when she was six, was raised in Lyndhurst. Family members and she used to speak Spanish in the home as a family However, after her brother had problems at school her parents stopped requiring her to learn Spanish. Gallo started dancing as an infant, and she was interested in making plays and performing. After watching The Secret Garden on Broadway at the age of 10, she became interested in acting. After seeing the show on Broadway, her parents took her for an acting class. She and her classmates enjoyed the theatre class since the focus was on performance rather than merely physical appearance. She continued to pursue dance and acting lessons until she was able to graduate. 8] After she got the acceptance letters for New York University (NYU) the school she described as her "dream school",[9she was convinced she was not able to go due to the expense. Her parents secured a number of loan and spent savings to make sure she could attend. They also had Gallo live at their house [10for one year] before she went away. She graduated in 2003 with A Bachelor of Fine Arts (dramatics) degree.
