Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in the Fox medical drama House. Her family was from Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. As a teenager, 18 she moved to New York City to study at Tisch School for the Arts. She was very active in the club scene in the city of New York, and was able to be heard by the media. At the same time she became more aware of AIDS' devastating effects. Her experience and fame as well as her own training to both write and perform a show called Positive Me. Then she was recruited by MTV to present Awake On The Wild Side. When the show was over her appearances began in television and film productions, initially in smaller parts, but gradually establishing her acting career.
