Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as a public speaker. Feminist Frequency was founded by Sarkeesian. It hosts video clips with commentary that analyze the representations of women that are prevalent in the media and popular culture of today. Feminist Frequency was created on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian, university student who has been involved in topics that concern gender and feminism for a considerable period of period of. The ambitious lady planned to start a web-based series that would examine the gender roles in video games and ended up being the victim of a harassment online campaign.
